What is Pilates?

Pilates is a movement concept created by Joseph H. Pilates. Its aim is to strengthen the whole body with a specific focus on the core. It teaches body awareness, control of movement and stretches the required muscles. Doing Pilates helps to gain better posture, preventing muscular dysbalances, painful areas or injuries. The training follows the pilates principles mentioned above.

Pilates is a great whole-body movement concept, which is not only beneficial in the prevention of injuries but also in rehabilitating musculoskeletal injuries.

Organisation

I offer small Pilates classes (with a maximum of 6 people) as well as 1 on 1 introduction/conditioning. Before starting the classes I highly recommend doing a 1 on 1 introduction to learn the Pilates principals and to find your strengths and weaknesses so you can make the most out of your classes.

Target group: Adolescents and adults aged 15 and older

Languages: 1 on 1 session can be thought in german or English. At the moment the group sessions are only in german. If you are interested in a pilates class thought in English please contact me as I am keen to start one if there are a few people interested.

1 on 1 Introduction/ Conditioning

I generally recommend this setting to everyone who wants to get to know their body better. Furthermore, it is important for all beginners to get to know the basic principles and concepts in advance and also so that I can get to know your strengths and weaknesses and help you to find a healthy balance.

Classes

I recommend the participation in group sessions to all those who want to do something good for their body and mind and who like to move and train in company. As Pilates exercises can be made easier or harder with only small changes, differences in performance level are no problem.

The group is run as an open group, i.e. all participants have the possibility to join at any time. In addition, only the units consumed are charged. The group size is limited to a maximum of 6 people. The units last 55 minutes. I would ask you to arrive 5 minutes before the unit to ensure a punctual start.

At the moment there is one Pilates group:
Monday: 17.30 - 18.30

Another group will probably start soon on Thursdays 18.00 - 19.00. If you are interested and for further information please feel free to contact me at any time.
